Feeling inspired to continue your upcycling journey?
Before you begin your drawstring bag project, let Shareen introduce a very important tool for this project: the sewing machine!
Whether you’ve never touched a sewing machine or need a refresher course, Shareen will break down the different parts of the machine and how to prepare your thread for sewing.
These steps will be transferable for most common household sewing machines, but do take a look at the instructions for your own machine before embarking on your project!
If you don’t own a sewing machine, don’t worry! The sewing project FMS will be sharing can also be done with hand sewing techniques like the basic running stitch and back stitch - taught in our hand embroidery video series (which can be found here).
